Linguistic Analysis
In this part of the Chintang Language Research Program we aim at developing in-depth analyses of the language, based as much as possible on our corpus. A comprehensive grammar treating all aspects of the language has been in preparation since 2014; a dictionary was published on Dictionaria in 2026. Also see the existing dissertations and other publications.
So far analysis has been focussing on morphology (Rai et al. 2005 (PDF, 79 KB), Bickel et al. 2007 (PDF, 900 KB)), grammatical relations and valency (Bickel 2008 (PDF, 127 KB), Bickel et al. 2010 (PDF, 222 KB), Schikowski et al. 2015 (PDF, 806 KB)), clause linkage
(Paudyal et al. 2010 (PDF, 116 KB)) and spatial deixis (Dirksmeyer 2008 (PDF, 4 MB)).
